Program Requirements for the Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies Program (BAPDST)

Filipino Deaf or Hard of Hearing applicants who passed the initial screening conducted by the Benilde Admissions Center, must satisfy the following conditions to qualify for the Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies (BAPDST) Program:

  1. Academic Aptitude – Grade 12 students or graduates applying for the Program must satisfy a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 70%.
  2. College Readiness – Applicants endorsed by the Center for Admissions will go through a written exam that will assess literacy and numeracy skills.
  3. Filipino Sign Language Competency – Qualified applicants will go through an interview to assess their FSL competency.Those who passed the written exam but need to improve on FSL competency may be required to go through Filipino Sign Language courses.
