L.O.T.S.: Left On The Streets
Contrary to initial impressions for this concept, this is not a concept for an upcycled collection. The concept aims to strike a conversation between men and the way they view themselves, their clothes, and their relationships. More to the concept; it also aims to make the collection sustainable by means of inheriting the garments. Keeping the collection timeless will be key in achieving this purpose. Approaching the collection concept with individuality, continuity, and longevity in mind, the collection is urged to focus on looks that elevate men’s streetwear while holding individuality on a pedestal. Throughout the decades, menswear has been linear in their styles with exceptions coming from different subcultures that disrupt the linear attitude menswear has. In recent times we see that more men are starting to embrace the disruption of linearity which opens more doors for style experimentation.

Simon Kayle Baldelovar first found an interest in fashion through his father. By passing down his own garments, Kayle was able to find his own sense of style and pursue Fashion Design at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde. While at DLS-CSB Kayle furthered his education in fashion, eventually opting to join the his program’s design track. Currently a graduating student, with his collection “L.O.T.S.” Kayle aims to build his own brand that crafts the timeless silhouette of menswear while still highlighting individuality.
