YAHAY is more than just a collection – it’s my love letter to Bukidnon, the place I call home. Growing up surrounded by its breathtaking landscapes and incredible people has shaped me in ways I never thought possible. From the majestic mountains to the rolling hills, every corner of Bukidnon has a story to tell. And that’s exactly what I aimed to capture with YAHAY – the essence of our land, our culture, and our people. It’s about embracing the great outdoors and celebrating the beauty, adventure, and community that makes life so special.

Aniann Maurel is a fashion designer with a passion for playing with fabrics and textures. She’s all about experimenting with different materials and techniques to create something truly unique. For Aniann, fashion is a way to tell stories and share her own experiences. She pours her heart into every piece, hoping it will resonate with others the way it does with her. With YAHAY, Aniann’s designs are an extension of herself – a way to connect with others and inspire them to be their best selves.

The journey to creating my thesis collection, “YAHAY,” was a deliberate and introspective process. Initially, I found myself grappling with ideas, seeking inspiration for a collection that truly represented my vision. It wasn’t until I reflected on my roots in Bukidnon, my beloved home, that the spark ignited. This place, where adventure and nature converge, profoundly shaped my perspective and fueled my passion for exploration. As I immersed myself in the essence of Bukidnon, ideas began to unfold, and I started conceptualizing designs that showcased its unique features. Though the process was slow and iterative, the end result was worth the wait. “YAHAY” is a testament to my journey, a fusion of my heritage and creative expression.
