Popscene captures the essence of the collection, intertwining elements of popular culture with the vibrant energy of nightlife. Just as a pop star commands attention and dazzles with their magnetic presence. This collection explores rediscovering the historical lifestyle of the Philippines, focusing on the well-known fabric from the country, Piña. Blending the beauty of Piña fabric from the 90s nightlife in Manila. Drawing inspiration from the chaotic yet addictive music, unconventional fashion, and vibrant energy of the parties, the goal is to revive the fun nightlife from the past and infuse it into contemporary fashion.
Shekinah’s creative process is intuitive, shaped by the sounds, textures, and emotional landscapes she moves through. Her designs reflect a desire to connect, to tell stories through silhouettes, fabrics, and mood. Balancing tradition with experimentation, she reimagines clothing as both a personal archive and a bold performance. Fashion, to her, is a way of existing louder in the world. She creates for those who carry history in their bodies and turn it into something entirely new.
