LRTW reimagines office wear as a reflection of Gen Z’s shifting approach with work, success, and self-expression. In motion, like the rhythm of the LRT, movement traces through lines and layers—an intersection of transit and transformation. Each piece moves through the spaces between order and individuality, redefining the subtle dialogue of what it means for this generation to dress for work.

Ashanti is a designer who translates the unseen into form—drawing from fleeting encounters and quiet moments to create pieces that exist between reality and abstraction. Her work merges observation and imagination, leaving impressions that extend beyond the surface.

The most challenging part of designing this collection was the construction and execution, especially translating concepts into well-made patterns that allowed the garments to fit and function properly. This process required me to be more mindful of proportion, structure, and how each piece would exist in real form rather than just on paper. Through this challenge, I learned to be more patient and attentive to detail, recognizing how precise pattern-making directly affects the overall quality of a garment. Throughout the collection, I found myself refining skills close to tailoring, with a focus on structure, fit, and clean construction. Pushing through these technical demands strengthened my understanding of garment-making and allowed me to approach future designs with greater confidence and discipline.
