A wordplay for Isa, meaning one, and buhay, meaning life. Read together to bring to life. The main inspiration comes from the Italian phrase “La Dolce Vita” or in translation “the sweet life” – an exploration of the human condition for desire and pleasure. The idea of romance is an unapologetic pursuit of beauty, joy, and freedom.
A journey about discovery and exploration. Looking into the reality of our daily lives and using elements that are already present, and with a personal narrative that suggests the idea that we only have one life, and it’s up to us to live it with intention and creativity.
This is my one life, and may this collection bring my vision to life.
As a designer, Stellar creates from a place of emotion, humanity, and lived experience. Her approach is rooted in storytelling in translating memories, struggles, and joy into tangible form. While faced with challenges as a designer, Stellar’s strength lies in her vision and ability to see the technical limits and breathe life into an idea.
She designs not for perfection, but for meaning creating pieces that embody her vulnerability, experiences, and transformation as a designer.
Isabuhay is the life she told, the experiences she’s been through now brought to life through fabric, form, and feeling.
