The Diploma Program in Organizational Development provides participants with a framework to analyze and clarify matters of their business competitiveness and its own structural effectiveness, to discern organizational dilemmas through structural, systematic, human resource and cultural perspective, and to create and supervise interventions and contingency plan to aid in overcoming them.
Module 1: Strategic Organizational Development
This module covers the broad stroke introduction to what Organization Development (OD) is all about and its difference with Human Resource Management (HRM). Depending on which reference book and author one reads, OD and HR are complementary and not in competition, nor one is subservient to the other or vice versa.
The module will briefly introduce participants to the theories that formed the basis for Organization Development as an independent field of study, the traditional tools of analyzing (OD Diagnostic Tools) organizations, the traditional plans and programs (OD Interventions) necessary to make a high performing organization and the modern counterpart of these “traditions” as applied in today’s VUCA world.
Participants will also be exposed to various case situations (culled from reputable business journal & magazine) that transformed and changed itself to organizations that conforms to OD ideals i.e. healthy, effective and high performing organizations.

Module 2: Organizational Culture and Communication
This module enables participants to design and deliver effective communication strategies by utilizing the full range of communication vehicles and channels in ways that meet the needs and motivations of client groups at all levels; as well as to support shaping and changing an operational culture to align with strategic business goals that promotes the health and vitality of an organization to embody its mission, vision and values.

Module 3: Strategic Planning and Execution
This module educates participants on how to prepare strategies based on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the organization and leverages this information to create appropriate goals and interventions, sets challenging targets including impact and project return on investment (ROI), maintaining focus on them even in the face of obstacles, monitoring achievement towards them, completing end-of-project evaluations, and sharing with clients and key stakeholders using impact and ROI measures to make an evidence-based case for interventions and solutions.
Module 4: Organization Efficiency and Excellence
This module equips the participants on how to analyze assumptions, facts, and context and skillful adjustments to improve quality of design and solutions by applying technology and continuous improvement approaches to increase effectiveness and efficiency, and be able to measure process performance through output quality, cycle time, process cost and variability, and impact on defined measures.
Module 5: Strategic Performance Management
This module provides the participants the theories and methods in performance management by which managers and employees work together to plan, monitor and review an employee’s work objectives and overall contribution to the organization with emphasis on the continuous process of setting objectives, assessing progress and providing on-going coaching and feedback to ensure that employees are meeting their objectives and career goals.
