Ripped Realities is a collection that reimagines the polished world of Barbie Land and contrasts it with the complexities of reality. It explores the space where fantasy begins to fracture and the truth beneath perfection is revealed. By deconstructing an idealized world, the collection transforms imagined beauty into something raw, powerful, and real.

For Audrey Isabel Suarez, fashion is an exploration of emotion and narrative — drawn from her personal experiences, the people she encounters, and the world that surrounds her. Each design captures fragments of real moments: quiet observations, everyday imperfections, and stories often left unspoken. As she graduates from Fashion Design and Merchandising at De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, she has developed a design philosophy that transforms imperfection into beauty and resilience into strength.

The design process for this collection was emotionally draining at times due to the constant pressure to produce work that was distinctive and truly unique. As the process progressed, there were moments of self-doubt where I questioned my abilities and whether I could continue, especially when revisions were required even after I felt a design was already resolved. Balancing creative expectations with limited time made the experience mentally and emotionally overwhelming. Through this journey, I learned that being a designer requires a strong commitment and unwavering passion. Most importantly, I learned to trust the process and never give up, because seeing the final outcome brought an overwhelming sense of fulfillment and proved that every hardship was truly worth it.
