Flowing Within is a collection inspired by the different stages of emotion I experienced throughout college. Like water, these emotions shifted between moments of calm and waves of uncertainty and renewal. Water became both a metaphor for my depression and a reflection of my journey into the virtual world in search of comfort and connection, showing how the digital space can both protect and expose our most vulnerable selves.

The collection begins with gentle, flowing silhouettes and gradually transforms through 3D-printed forms, building layers that resemble the armor I learned to wear over time. By blending softness with structure, each piece reflects how technology can both conceal and reveal the emotions we carry within.

Chloe Uy is a womenswear designer specializing in made-to-order couture gowns. Her work focuses on merging innovation and craftsmanship, integrating techniques such as 3D printing, beading, and embroidery. Each garment is designed with a balance of softness and structure, embodying her belief that fashion can be both intimate and innovative. Through her creations, she aims to redefine contemporary elegance and highlight the evolving relationship between fashion and technology.

This collection started with a personal experience. During my trip to Canada, I was drawn to the way water moves and changes, which reflected how I was feeling throughout my college life. As I went through moments of loneliness and self doubt, technology became a form of comfort for me, something I often turned to, just like many people in my generation. I explored this through design by contrasting soft couture techniques with 3D-printed elements. As the collection progresses, the 3D printing slowly becomes an armor, symbolizing how technology helped protect me and build emotional resilience. Each look represents a step in my journey, moving from vulnerability to strength.
