CHED SIKAP Grant Welcomes Benilde as New Partner School

Benilde has been officially welcomed as a new partner school under the CHED SIKAP Grant, expanding access to graduate education for its academic and administrative personnel. Through this partnership, eligible Benildeans may receive financial support for tuition, research, and academic needs while pursuing graduate studies.

“Alchemy of Ideas” Exhibit Showcases Student Innovation in Design

Benilde Industrial Design Program, in partnership with the Center for Campus Exhibitions, launched Alchemy of Ideas, a student-led exhibition that turns design ideas into tangible solutions through creativity, collaboration, and experimentation. The exhibit opened on August 5 and will run until November 5, 2025 at the 8th Floor Hallway and CLR Library Commons of the Design + Arts Campus.

Benilde Romancon Press Debuts with Book Grants and Campus Art Catalog

Benilde officially launched the Benilde Romancon Press on August 6 at The Atrium@Benilde Campus. The new publishing platform supports original authorship, creative expression, and intellectual property development within the College. Managed by the Center for Intellectual Property Management (CIPM), the press provides a formal structure for publishing works by Benildean faculty, associates, students, and alumni.

Toon Boom Partnership Expands Creative Opportunities for Benildeans

Benilde has officially partnered with Toon Boom Animation Inc., a global leader in animation software, to strengthen hands-on training and open up more creative opportunities for Benildeans.

"At the Lines and Layers" Event Recognizes Benilde’s 2025 Architecture and Interior Design Topnotchers

Five Benildeans were named topnotchers in the January 2025 Architecture Licensure Examination and the July 2025 Interior Design Licensure Examination. Each received a plaque of appreciation and cash incentives: ₱100,000 for Top 3 placers and ₱50,000 for those ranked Top 4 to Top 9.

Benilde Celebrates Third Win as School of the Year at the 11th Philippine Student Quill Awards

The College received a total of 66 awards, with entries recognized across categories such as Special and Experiential Events, Audio/Visual, Social Media, Publications, Writing, and Marketing. Each one showed how Benildean students use communication to share stories, spark conversations, and bring important ideas to life.

Animation and Business Management Join Benilde’s Growing List of AUN-QA Assessed Programs

The College successfully completed the 460th ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Programme Assessment held from July 29 to 31, 2025. The review covered the Animation and Business Management programs.

Honoring Benilde’s Champions of Global Engagement

Last August 15, the College gathered deans and program chairs for the Benilde Global Excellence Awards at the Ideation Room, at the Atrium@Benilde Campus. The event was all about recognizing the people behind our growing international efforts, those who’ve helped build global partnerships, support student and faculty mobility, and bring international perspectives into the classroom.

Organized by the Center for External Linkages, the afternoon was filled with warm conversations, shared wins, and a few surprises for early birds who came in ahead of time.

On August 7, 2025, the Benildean community came together at the Sports and Dormitory Complex for a night of gratitude and celebration. Athletes, coaches, administrators, and supporters were recognized for the dedication and heart they’ve poured into the College’s sports journey. It was a warm and spirited gathering that reminded everyone how far Benilde has come and how much more is ahead.

From cosmic quests to campus connections, Frosh Week unfolded from August 28 to September 2 with games, gatherings, and galactic welcomes. Interaktiv is Benilde’s official orientation program, designed to immerse new students in the College’s culture, community, and creative spirit. As ID125 begins their journey, let’s rally together to give our newest Benildean Frosh and transferees a student experience like no other: warm, inclusive, and unmistakably ours!

Application for Admission Set to Reopen on September 15

Admission for AY 2026–2027 and 2nd Term AY 2025–2026 begins on September 15, 2025. Updated procedures and guidelines will be posted on the Admissions Page before the opening date, so stay tuned.

This cycle also introduces our new application portal at apply.benilde.edu.ph. If you’re assisting future Benildeans or responding to inquiries, now is a great time to explore the portal and help ensure a smooth, welcoming application experience.

SNEAK PEEK: YOUR SUCCESSFUL HEAD START

Grade 9 and 10 students are invited to a free online event on Saturday, September 20, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The session offers a closer look at Benilde’s Senior High School pathways, student life, and its role as a DepEd Pilot School. Participants will gain early access to the enhanced curriculum, hands-on training, and global learning opportunities.

Encourage interested students to sign up and take part in this engaging preview. It’s a chance to learn, connect, and win exciting raffle prizes while discovering what it means to be part of the Benildean Community.

Office of the Vice President for Finance
- As we approach the end of the College’s Fiscal Year, we would like to remind everyone that the current year’s budget will only cover expenses incurred, goods delivered, and services rendered on or before August 31, 2025. This is in accordance with the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and Philippine Auditing Standards of accrual. Any requests not delivered or completed by August 31, 2025 will be charged against the incoming fiscal year’s budget. We strongly encourage all end-users to coordinate with the Center for Procurement to check the status of their MRFs. Additionally, kindly submit all supporting documents to the Finance Office on or before September 15, 2025. Submissions beyond this date will be charged to the AY2025–2026 budget.
People & Organization Development Office
- Benilde renewed the services of INTELLICARE (Asalus Corporation) as our official healthcare provider for the period covering September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026. The College is committed to ensuring that our community continues to receive comprehensive and high-quality healthcare services. As such, all benefits provided under the previous healthcare plan will remain in place.
Center for Built Environment and Logistics
- We have 1 slot available for males and 3 slots for females for Avida Condo rentals. Take advantage of this opportunity at a price of Php 5,000 per month with a 1-year contract. - We are reducing our carbon footprint by transforming waste into valuable resources that make a difference. See how much value was generated from recyclables this month. Everyone is encouraged to continue supporting the College’s recycling initiative by bringing their recyclables to the designated drop-off points on each campus. By turning waste into worth, the funds generated will help support the College’s scholarship programs.
Center for Lasallian Ministry
- September 29 to October 3: Celebration of the Benilde Season of Creation 2025 This will be a significant initiative that brings together the Benildean community in prayer, reflection, and action for the care of the Earth, our common home. This calls us to renew our relationship with creation and one another.
- Please be informed that there will be no community Masses on campus from August 18 to September 5, as our school chaplains will be on their scheduled break following their rule of life as religious. During this time, we continue to remain united in prayer as a Benildean community. Instead of the usual Masses, Midday Prayer will be held at all our campus chapels at 12:10 PM. Let us take this opportunity to pause, reflect, and remain rooted in God’s presence even in the simplicity of prayer.

- Recently, there have been a series of suspected data breaches in colleges and universities caused by phishing emails affecting student and faculty records. To protect our community, we strongly advise everyone to stay vigilant and follow these best practices: Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – Secure Google Workspace Account and Secure Microsoft 365 Account . Always verify the sender’s email address before opening or responding.Pay attention to Gmail’s warning flags on suspicious messages. Never click on links in unexpected emails, even if they appear to be from trusted sites. Use the Report Spam feature so that Gmail can block suspicious senders for all Gmail users. Do not forward phishing emails. Instead, take a screenshot and report the incident to Helpdesk, select “Suspicious/Phishing Email” as the concern.

- I join the entire community in celebrating this proud achievement of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, which has once again been named “School of the Year” at the IABC 11th Philippine Student Quill Awards held last August 27, 2025, at Manila Hotel. Our students brought home an outstanding 66 recognitions across diverse categories—Special and Experiential Events, Audio/Visual, Social Media, Publications, Writing, and Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication. This is the third time that Benilde has earned the distinction of School of the Year, a true testament to the creativity, excellence, and dedication of our Benildean learners, guided and supported by our faculty and administrators. Each recognition speaks not only of technical skill but also of our community’s commitment to meaningful storytelling, innovation, and advocacy. We are also proud to announce that The Benilde Book won in the 21st Philippine Quill Awards under the Publications category—a recognition that further highlights our ability to share the Benildean story with depth and distinction.
