Benildean Excellence in Scholastic and Talent Scholarship (BEST)
By invitation from DLS-CSB
The BEST Scholarship offers a substantial benefit package for scholars. It is awarded to those who have an outstanding academic record and consistent substantive achievement in curricular, co- and extracurricular activities. Awardees may come from any degree program, except from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Business Management or Marketing Management programs.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to any degree program except BSBA-Business Management and BSBA-Marketing Management
  • Has a High School Grade Point Average (HSGPA) of at least 90% as computed by Benilde with a substantive achievement in curricular, leadership and co-curricular activities.
  • Within the top 100 scorers in the Benilde Entrance Examination Batch 1

Entrance Academic Scholarship (ENTRACA)
By invitation from DLS-CSB
The ENTRACA is a scholarship awarded to the top 10 scorers in the Benildean Entrance Exam (BEE).

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to any degree program except BSBA-Business Management and BSBA-Marketing Management
  • Within the top 20 scorers of the Benilde Entrance Examination Batch 1

  • Computer laboratory privileges
  • Additional library privileges
Honors Scholarship (HS)
Limited Slots: First come, first served. Only three per school will be accepted.
The Honors scholarship is awarded to freshmen applicants who are in the top three of their senior graduating batch from selected public and parochial high schools.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to any degree program except BSBA-Business Management and BSBA-Marketing Management
  • Graduated from a public or parochial high school in junior and senior high school
  • Belongs to the top ten honor roll in junior high school
  • Belongs to the top three honor roll in senior High School
  • Has a High School Grade Point Average (HSGPA) of at least 90% from Grades 8-11, as computed by Benilde
  • Has reached the required score in the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course

Requirements:

  • Photocopy and original report cards from Grades 8-11
  • Certificate of Graduation from junior high school indicating that the applicant belongs to the top 10 honor roll
  • Letter of endorsement from junior and senior high school principals
  • Upon graduation, photocopy and original report cards from Grades 8-11

Note: The applicant needs to actually graduate with honors (applicants who do not make it are disqualified). The request for Grades 8-11 records serve as an indication of the student’s potential to graduate with honors.
VATEL Scholarship (for upperclassmen)
Awarded by DLS-CSB
This one-year scholarship is awarded to the best-ranking IHM student who has completed five (5) academic terms in the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (SHRIM).

Benefits

  • Full tuition and fees waiver for one school year
Top 10 Honors
Top 10 Honors is awarded to students who are in the top ten honors list for three consecutive terms or one school year.

Requirements

  • CGPA for 3 consecutive terms (1 school year) must be within the range of the top 10 students of the College

Benefits

  • The student shall receive a stipend allowance depending on his or her rank for three (3) consecutive terms:
    • Top 1—3: PhP12,000
    • Top 4—6: PhP8,000
    • Top 7—10: PhP4,000
Athletic Recruit Grant
The Athletic Recruit Grant is available to freshmen with superior athletic abilities fit to represent the College in sports competitions.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman, recruited transferee or current Benildean student with superior athletic abilities.
  • Has passed the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course
  • Has passed try-outs and trainings
  • Endorsed by the Director of the Center for Sports Development (CSD)

Benilde Ballet Philippines Scholarship
The Benilde Ballet Philippines Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen or transferees applying for Bachelor of Performing Arts Major in Dance (BPA-D) program.

Requirements

  • Recommendation by the Artistic Director of Ballet Philippines

Office of Culture and Arts (OCA) Grant
The OCA Grant is open to incoming freshmen and upper class students who are gifted in the field of performing arts.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman, recruited transferee or current Benilde student who passes the audition and trainings
  • Has passed the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course
  • Endorsed by the Head of Office of Culture and Arts

School of Design and Arts (SDA) Scholarship
The SDA Scholarship is awarded to students who show exceptional talent in the fields of art, multimedia arts, design and music. Applicants must submit the requirements to the Admissions Center upon application. Those who pass the initial screening are invited for an interview, presentation of portfolio and skills test.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to any degree under the School of Design and Arts (SDA)
  • Has a High School Grade Point Average (HSGPA)of at least 85% from Grades 8-11, as computed by Benilde
  • Has reached the required score in the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course
  • Has submitted all necessary requirements

Requirements:

  • Letter of application with an attached essay indicating reasons for application
  • Portfolio (20 actual works)
  • Certificates and awards
  • 2 recommendation letters from high school counselor/art instructor/teacher
  • Highly recommended/endorsed by the SDA program chairperson, SDA faculty and Benilde counselor after interview
Benildean Hope Grant (BHG)
BHG is offered to freshman applicants who belong to special populations (i.e children of police, indigenous people, marginalized youth, etc.) who are under the care of non-government organizations (NGO’s), Non-Profit Foundations (NPF’s) and Government Organizations (GO’s) that are recognized by the College.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to any degree program except BSBA-Business Management and BSBA-Marketing Management
  • Proper endorsement by the accredited NGO/NPF/GO
  • Has reached the required score in the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course
  • Has a High School Grade Point Average (HSGPA)of at least 80% from Grades 8-11, as computed by Benilde
  • Has had no immediate family member who has availed of any Financial Assistance Grants of the College

  • Waived recollection, retreat and graduation fee

Blessed Arnould Study Assistance Program (BASAP)
BASAP is for freshmen applicants or transferees applying to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Business Management (BSBA-BM) or Marketing Management (BSBA-MM) programs.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman or transferee applying to BSBA-Business Management and BSBA-Marketing Management
  • Has reached the required score in the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course
  • At least 19 years of age
  • Has not yet earned a bachelor’s degree from any school
  • Has been out of school for at least two years while working
  • Working/employed/self-employed, earning not more than Php 260,000.00 per annum in basic pay
  • Has submitted all necessary requirements
  • Has had no immediate family member who has availed of any Financial Assistance Grants of the College
  • Note: Applicant must still be working at the time the grant commences or the grant is revoked

School of Deaf and Applied Studies Grant (SDEAS Grant)
The SDEAS Grant is awarded to graduating Deaf high school students who are in need of financial assistance for their tertiary education.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to the Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies program
  • Deaf and financially challenged
  • Has passed the Benilde Entrance Examination
  • Highly recommended/endorsed by the SDEAS Dean and the Director of the Center for Deaf Esteem and Formation

  • Note: Only two Deaf siblings/family are accepted into the program

Pierre Romançon Grant
The Pierre Romançon Grant is open for freshmen applicants who are in need of financial support to pursue their College education.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to any degree program except BSBA-Business Management and BSBA-Marketing Management
  • Has reached the required score in the Benilde Entrance Examination
  • Has a High School Grade Point Average (HSGPA)of at least 85% from Grades 8-11, as computed by Benilde
  • Has reached the required score in the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course
  • Has had no immediate family member who has availed of any Financial Assistance Grant of the College

Kabitbahay Grant (KBG)
The Kapitbahay Grant is given to academically deserving but financially-challenged high school graduates residing in a barangay in the vicinity of Benilde.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming freshman applying to any degree program except BSBA-Business Management and BSBA-Marketing Management
  • Has reached the required score in the Benilde Entrance Examination for the preferred course
  • Has a High School Grade Point Average (HSGPA) of at least 80% from Grades 8-11, as computed by Benilde
  • Resident of at least 5 years of an accredited partner neighborhood barangay of the College and is properly endorsed by the Barangay Captain
  • Family is financially challenged
  • Has had no immediate family member who has availed of any Financial Assistance Grants of the College

The BPSP is for freshmen applicants whose parents are permanent faculty members or staff of Benilde and have rendered at least three years of continuous service at the College.

Presidential Decree 577 (PD 577) Scholarship
The PD 577 Scholarship is awarded to freshmen applicants who are children of military personnel who died or have been incapacitated in the line of duty.

  • Endorsement from Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)

Presidential Decree 1687 (PD 1687) Scholarship
The PD 1687 Scholarship is awarded to freshmen applicants who are children of military personnel awarded with the medal of valor.

Requirements

  • Endorsement from Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)

Benefits

  • May enroll in any degree program*
  • Full tuition and fees waiver
Application period for PD 1687 Scholarship is from July to February. The scholarship is awarded after the release of acceptance by the Admissions Center.

Center for Institutional Communications Grant (CIC Grant)
The CIC Grant is for currently enrolled student grantees of CIC who are recommended for tuition discount by the CIC Director.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled Benildean student
  • Has actively worked and produced significant material in CIC for at least one term
  • Recommended for tuition fee discount by the CIC Director for succeeding term

Student Publication Grant-Benildean (SPG-B)
The Student Publication Scholarship-Benildean (SPG-B) is for currently enrolled student artists and writers recommended for tuition discount by the Student Publications Office (SPO) Head.

Qualifications:

  • Has been actively involved as a campus journalist in the Student Publications Office –Benildean Press Corps for at least one (1) trimester
  • Made a substantive contribution to the publications of the Office
  • Recommended for tuition fee discount by the Student Publications Office (SPO) Head

Student Publication Grant-Yearbook (SPG-Y)
The Student Publication Grant-Yearbook (SPG-Y) is for student editors and staff of the Yearbook Office recommended for tuition discount by the Yearbook Adviser and Student Publications Office (SPO) Head.

Qualifications:

  • Editors and staff members of the Student Publications Office – Benildean Yearbook Office (SPO-BYO) who have been actively involved for at least one (1) trimester
  • Made a substantive contribution to the Office
  • Recommended for tuition fee discount by the Student Publications Office (SPO) Head

Benefits

  • Partial tuition fees waiver
Benilde Student Envoy (BSE)
The Benildean Student Envoys program is for currently enrolled students who will serve as ambassadors of the College in special events and linkage programs.

Qualifications:

  • Has six terms left in College
  • Has had no major offense
  • Has maintained a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.
  • Current Benildean student who passed the interview screening and professional training as ambassador of the College under the Office of the Vice President for Advancement
  • Recommended for tuition fee discount by the Vice President for Advancement
