AIMHI, an AI-powered construction management app under the Benilde Hub of Innovation (HiFi) Trailblazer Startup Program, has earned a spot as a finalist in the 2026 Presidential Filipinnovation Awards.
The Mindanao-grown startup advanced to the national competition after winning in the Mindanao Sub-National Competition held in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental on July 29. AIMHI will join finalists from the National Capital Region, Luzon and Visayas in the national finals on September 1 to 3.
Developed by a team of women entrepreneurs, AIMHI helps contractors, engineers and project managers keep construction projects on track, even in areas with limited or no internet connection. The app works offline and automatically syncs data once a connection becomes available, making it practical for job sites across the Philippines.
Beyond offline capability, AIMHI brings together project tracking, cost monitoring, worker attendance, inventory management and built-in team communication in a single platform. It also uses artificial intelligence to flag possible delays, budget overruns and material shortages so project teams can respond before small issues grow into bigger problems.
AIMHI has been a long-time collaborator of Benilde HiFi, with the partnership growing through various innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry initiatives over the years. Its engagement with the Benilde innovation ecosystem included participating as a finalist in the 2025 Benilde Alumni Technopreneur (BeAT) Awards.
AIMHI later officially joined the Benilde Trailblazer Startup Incubation Program of HiFi, gaining access to incubation support and a wider network of mentors, government agencies, industry partners, fellow founders, and opportunities for venture development.
The partnership has continued to grow through various initiatives. Most recently, AIMHI and Benilde HiFi collaborated on the Industry Forum on Digital Transformation in Construction and the launch of AIMHI Mobile in June 2026, bringing together stakeholders from government, academe, technology, and the construction industry.
The app is led by Chief Executive Officer Cherryanne Lee Angoy, who brings 16 years of experience in the US technology industry. She works alongside Chief Technology Officer Monica Llamas-Turrecha, who specializes in systems design and user experience, and Chief Legal Counsel Atty. Ma. Janice Tejano, Director of Benilde’s Center for Intellectual Property Management (CIPM), which serves as the College’s IPOPHL-accredited Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO).
The Presidential Filipinnovation Awards recognize Filipino-owned innovations that have reached the early stages of commercialization and show strong potential to create economic and social impact. The program gives innovators from across the country a platform to connect with investors, development partners and industry leaders.
