Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English

PROGRAM LENGTH: 10 TRIMESTERS

The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) Major in English program is structured to meet the needs of professional teachers for secondary schools in the Philippines. The BSEd program aims to develop high school teachers who can teach in one of the different learning areas in high school particularly in English.

The BSEd course is aligned with the Lasallian Guiding Principles’ (LGP) Five Way Test which describes what a Lasallian education is. A graduate of the BSEd course is expected to demonstrate proficiency in all subject areas especially in the professional and major courses.

Be a Formator

This course is for you if you want to become a globally competent professional teacher for secondary education. You will learn to:

  • demonstrate in-depth understanding of the development of adolescent learners and exhibit comprehensive knowledge in one of the different learning areas like Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and English;
  • facilitate and evaluate innovative learning by manifesting Filipino and Christian values to enhance teaching and learning process; and
  • advocate inclusive secondary education curriculum imbued with principles of Lasallian pedagogy.

TEACHER CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Antipolo, as an educational institution whose founder is St. John Baptiste De La Salle, Patron Saint of Catholic Teachers, is offering a certificate program to graduates of non-education degree courses who wish to pursue a teaching career in the academe.

This program provides not only the required 18 units to qualify for the Licensure Examination for Teachers but also it equips the students with the necessary skills and experiences in teaching and handling basic education learners through Experiential learning.
