Benilde’s new inbound students began their second term of Academic Year 2025-2026 with a whole‑day cultural and food tour on January 7. The program started in Rizal Park and Intramuros, where they walked through historic grounds and listened to stories about Manila’s past. Later, they continued to Binondo, where the energy of the world’s oldest Chinatown surrounded them. The tour gave them a vivid introduction to the city’s heritage and community at the start of their exchange journey.
History and community shape daily life in Manila, and the tour gave students a first look at that connection. They explored the cobblestone paths of Intramuros and listened to stories about the city’s colonial past. In Binondo, they walked through busy streets filled with shops and colors, taking in the energy of the world’s oldest Chinatown.
Manila offers more than classrooms. International students learn from the streets, the markets, and the people. English is widely spoken, transportation is easy to access, and Filipino hospitality makes visitors feel welcome. The city connects tradition with modern life and opens doors to world‑class destinations across the Philippines. Students can explore Boracay’s white sand beaches, Palawan’s lagoons, Cebu’s heritage sites, or the Banaue Rice Terraces during their downtime and breaks.
Benilde demonstrates its commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and international collaboration through a range of recognitions and partnerships. Among its major distinctions are CHED Autonomous Status, recognition as an Apple Distinguished School, and membership in the Vatel Network, which connects students to exchange opportunities across partner schools worldwide. These highlights sit alongside other collaborations that strengthen Benilde Global and expand opportunities for international students.
Benilde Global offers academic exchange, cultural immersion, and support services for international students. The program helps with admissions, visa processing, and student activities, making sure every participant feels guided and welcomed throughout their stay.
Exchange students join activities that immerse them in Filipino life. The Binondo and Intramuros tour is one example. Past cohorts have also shared their experiences in published stories, describing how they traveled to Palawan, Cebu, and Boracay, and how they found friendships and a sense of belonging at Benilde. Partnerships with institutions like La Salle Universitat Ramon Llull in Spain further strengthen the program, giving students opportunities to connect across cultures and continents.
Studying in Manila with Benilde Global means earning credits while discovering heritage, tasting new flavors, and building global networks. It means finding a second home in a community that celebrates diversity and welcomes the world.
