Salle de Blagnac, the Airbus A320 Cabin Service Trainer at Benilde’s Angelo King International Center (AKIC) Campus, has been upgraded to include business class seats and a dedicated lounge. These additions support more advanced simulations for Tourism Management students, especially those preparing for roles in premium service environments.
Developed in partnership with aviation simulator provider SkyArt, Salle de Blagnac follows the layout and specifications of an actual aircraft cabin. The newly added business class section and lounge allow students to rehearse service routines, manage guest interactions, and explore the flow of onboard operations beyond standard economy setups.
For students under the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM), the upgrade offers a more complete training ground. The program encourages innovation in tourism products and services, and the expanded facility gives students room to test ideas, refine service design, and simulate real-world scenarios with greater complexity.
The lounge area also opens up new use cases. Students can practice hosting diplomatic guests, managing corporate travel setups, or coordinating influencer-led tours. These simulations support the program’s goals in entrepreneurship, customer service, and intercultural communication.
Salle de Blagnac remains part of a broader learning system that includes micro-credentialing and modular assessments. Students can earn certifications in service protocols, safety procedures, and experience design as they progress through the program.
With Salle de Blagnac’s upgrade, BSTM students are given a space that matches the ambition of the curriculum, a space where they can build, test, and improve the kind of tourism experiences they’ll be expected to lead.
