Last September, REVERIUM became Benilde HiFi’s milestone during the Philippine Creative Industries Month Celebration. The gathering brought startups, creative practitioners, and community partners together to talk, create, and imagine how design thinking can shape a creative economy that works for people and communities.
The program opened with the signing of incubation agreements for HiFi’s startups, a clear step in helping new ventures grow. Creative Talks followed, with sessions on localized access support led by Lee Caces, Martin Riggs, and Gab Guevarra, and capstone‑to‑business pathways with Cherryanne Anguy, Darius Juson, Alixia Belcado, and Alexander Abear. A roundtable brought 17 creative practitioners from different industries into one conversation about how to design a stronger creative economy. The State of Our Nation Address, or SOONA, added a reverse pitch that challenged participants to share fresh perspectives on the future of the industry.
Two murals gave the celebration a lasting mark. HiFi Unveiled showed Benilde HiFi as a source of energy and ideas, with ripples spreading outward to symbolize collaboration and growth. Symbols like the BeAT Award trophy, the Makers Market cart, and sticky‑note speech bubbles tied the piece to creativity and dialogue. References to Lasallian identity and the PDGii Building honored the roots of HiFi’s mission of innovation for inclusion. The mural ended with a vision of a sustainable city built through imagination and solidarity.
Picture of Tomorrow was created by Juaquin Pineda, a student volunteer and Architecture graduate from Benilde. It celebrated imagination as the starting point of change. Inspired by HiFi’s startups, the mural paid tribute to initiative and persistence, showing how ideas move from sketches to prototypes to thriving enterprises. A rainbow road wound forward, reminding viewers that a colorful future awaits those who dare to create it.
Looking back, REVERIUM showed how startups, artists, and practitioners came together to design a creative economy through dialogue, incubation, and art. It was a celebration of ideas in motion and a reminder that collaboration builds the future.
Benilde HiFi supports innovators by turning ideas into prototypes, guiding student projects, and helping startups grow into ventures with global reach. To explore more of its programs and stories, read about Benilde HiFi on Medium.com or follow them on Facebook.
