Benilde honors Hidilyn

“Mahirap maging estudyante at Olympian. Naging posible kasi nasa Benilde ako. Naging extraordinary ang pagkapanalo ko sa Olympics dahil Benildean ako.” (It is difficult to be an Olympian and a student at the same time. This became possible because I am in Benilde. Winning the Olympic gold became extraordinary because I am a Benildean.) This was Hidilyn Diaz’s response after being presented with the Benilde Medallion, the College’s highest expression of recognition for an individual or institution’s extraordinary achievement or contribution.
Benilde President Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC also announced the launch of the Hidilyn Diaz Scholarship for Athletes, wherein five national athletes will be selected by a committee and offered the scholarship.
