Snapshots From the First Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC Academia-Industry Conference
The School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management was proud to host the first Br. Andrew Gonzalez Academia-Industry Conference with the theme Unlocking the Code to Global Excellence in Tourism Education.
Day 1 of the conference was held on August 13, 2024, at Marriott Hotel Manila, with industry partners, academic institutions, and policymakers in attendance. More than ever, the conference proved that continuous dialogues, responsiveness, and synergy between institutions are important in building and creating a better future, not just for students, but for the tourism industry and the whole nation.
Day 2 of the conference was held on August 14, 2024, at the Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle. The second day focused on giving participants and industry leaders a venue to present their ideas and services, as well as to connect and explore possible collaborations and partnerships.

- Center for Learning Resources (CLR)
- We are excited to announce the launch of our online reservation system for all your audio-visual needs! To streamline the process and ensure efficient service, submit your AV requests through the online form.
- Center for Restorative Discipline (CRD)
- Visit the respective CRD offices in the different campuses to claim the lost and found item/s from August 3-31, between 9am to 4pm only. Bring proof of ownership for verification purposes. unclaimed item/s after August 31, 2024, will be turned-over to GASD-Warehouse (Non-Cash) for proper disposal and the Finance Department (Cash) for College fund.
- Center for Student Life (CSL)
- The application for Graduation Special Awards for the Third Term, AY 2023-2024 Commencement Exercises scheduled for October 2024, is now open. The College recognizes graduating students (leaders, artists, journalists, athletes, volunteers) who have meritorious achievements in extra- and co-curricular activities. Qualified graduating student applicants may get their application kits/forms from Ms. Jo Ann A. Parulan at the Center for Student Life (CSL), 3rd floor of the Atrium Campus. The deadline for submission of completed application forms and required supporting documentation is on Thursday, September 26, at 3:00 PM.
- The INTERAKTIV Face-to-Face Program will soon grant frosh their passage to an out-of-this-world journey on August 28, 29, and 30, 2024 (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) and September 2 and 3, 2024 (Monday and Tuesday) at the D+A Campus. Prepare to embark on this cosmic adventure through this orientation, where fun activities await, designed to help frosh and transferees connect, explore, and discover their place in the Benildean community.

- Your Feedback Matters: Enhance Our Cafeteria and Store Service by scanning the QR Code available on each cafeteria table to share your feedback directly, whether you are dining in or grabbing a take-out or at your convenience – anytime, anywhere, and on any day, please fill out our accessible google form.
- Office of the Vice President for Finance (OVPF)
- As we approach the end of the College’s Fiscal Year, a reminder that the current year’s budget will cover expenses incurred, goods delivered, and services rendered only until August 31, 2024. This is in accordance with the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and Philippine Auditing Standards of accrual. Requests not delivered or completed up to August 31 will be cancelled. All end-users need to check with the Center for Procurement for the status of their MRFs. End-users will require to reprocess all undelivered requests and shall be charged to the incoming fiscal year’s budget. Additionally, please submit all supporting documents to Finance Office on or before September 13. For submissions beyond September 13, the request will be charged to AY 2024-2025 budget.
- Center for Social Action (CSA)
- The Online Registration for the Community Service Program (CSP) is now OPEN. It will be accessible from July 22-August 31, 2024. You may access the online registration form using your Benilde Mail through this link: bit.ly/CSRegistration-T1.

- Office of the Vice President for Lasallian Mission and Student Life (OVP-LMSL)
- As we celebrate the Closing Program of our 35th year, everyone is invited on Monday, September 2. A Holy Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the 5/F Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez (ARG) Theater, Taft Campus, followed by a brief program with exciting announcements about our future as Benildeans. Gift bags and food will be provided after the program at Greenway Square. We encourage everyone to join and wear your 35th-anniversary shirt or any green Benilde shirt. Wearing of prescribed uniforms is lifted on this date.
- People & Organization Development Office (PODO)
- The College announces the appointment of Ms. Jennifer B. Fabula, Ph.D. as Dean for the School of Multidisciplinary Studies. Dr. Fabula, who has been with DLS-CSB since 1999 will receive her 25-year Service Award in October 2024. She began her journey at Benilde as a faculty member in the SMS-Theo/Philo Program and was appointed Chairperson from AY 2008-2009 until AY 2017-2018, where she led the revision of the Theology syllabi in response to CMO #20 s. 2013 and CMO #46 s. 2012.
- Benilde announces the appointment of Ms. Marian Patricia Bea U. Francisco, Ph.D. as Dean for the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics effective 1st Term of AY 2024-2025. In August 2021, Dr. Francisco was appointed as Director of the Center for Deaf Esteem and Formation (CDEAF). She initiated socialization activities, which included Breakfast at SDEAS, “Kapehan sa SDEAS,” and wellness sessions. Recently she was recognized as one of the 2nd round qualifiers in the 2024 cycle of the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos for Higher Education Teacher.
- De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Joana M. Diñoso, as Dean for the School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT) under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics effective 1st Term of AY 2024-2025. Ms. Diñoso, a licensed Real Estate Consultant, Appraiser, and Broker, has been a key member of the SMIT-Real Estate Management Program (REM) faculty since 2017. Her exceptional contributions and expertise led to her appointment as Chairperson for REM in January 2021, after four years of valuable contribution as a faculty member.
- Benilde has accepted the services of INTELLICARE as our official healthcare provider starting September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. The College is committed to ensuring that our community continues to receive comprehensive and high-quality healthcare services. As such, all benefits provided under the previous healthcare plan will remain in place. Additionally, INTELLICARE has introduced several enhancements to the new plan, offering expanded coverage and services.
- Office of the President (OP)
- Announcing the appointment of Mr. Michael Luis Fernando D. Tecson III as Vice President for Administration effective 1st Term of AY 2024-25. Mr. Tecson, fondly known as Butch in the Lasallian and Benildean community, brings with him his extensive expertise in both the academia and corporate industries. He joined De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in May 2013 where he served as the Strategic Planning Head and later as the Director of the Office of Strategic Planning, now known as the Center for Institutional Planning. In May 2020 he was appointed as the Head of the Strategic Planning Office at La Salle Green Hills, a role that allowed him to be of service to his alma mater as well as share his expertise to the LSGH community for two years. Before joining Benilde, he was affiliated with PAREF Northfield School for Boys, La Salle College Antipolo, Convergys, and the Manila Banking Corporation. His exposure to diverse industries has allowed him to have a firmer grasp of the business units that allows for creativity and versatility in its operations.
