As part of its commitment to world-class hospitality education, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde continues to expand its global partnerships and the International Hospitality Management program through the Vatel Programme, an internationally recognized network of hospitality management schools. The latest collaboration with Centro Universitario Vatel (Vatel Mexico) builds on this shared vision by providing students with immersive academic and professional experiences in leading hospitality environments.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formalized last March 10, 2025 at Centro Universitario Vatel’s flagship location within the French Alliance Institution in Mexico, where Sherlo Reyes, Director of the Center for External Linkages at Benilde, and Mr. Said Boukili, Director of Vatel Mexico, signed the agreement. This partnership enhances the Marco Polo Program, allowing students to study abroad at different Vatel campuses worldwide, earning dual degrees recognized in both the Philippines and France.
Through this exchange program, students will pay tuition to their home institution, ensuring a seamless academic transition while benefiting from international industry exposure and real-world training. Beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year, Vatel Mexico will send its first batch of students to Benilde, marking the start of a reciprocal exchange designed to enrich learning experiences through cross-cultural integration and industry immersion.
Benilde has long been a hub for high-quality hospitality education, as seen in its recent renewal of the Vatel Franchise Agreement, further strengthening its international accreditation and commitment to excellence. With this new partnership, students gain direct access to specialized hospitality management training, global networking opportunities, and leadership development within a dynamic and evolving industry.
The agreement reflects the shared vision of Benilde and Vatel Mexico to cultivate world-class hospitality professionals, equipping students with global perspectives, practical industry skills, and cultural adaptability. Both institutions look forward to expanding long-term collaborations, ensuring students continue to receive an immersive and internationally relevant education.
