STEERING TOWARDS THE GOOD

This course is for you if you have a mindset of finding and capturing opportunities in development and applying sustainable ideas in the corporate set-up or a community enterprise. You will learn to:

  • craft a comprehensive plan to promote social entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability;
  • apply innovative strategies and techniques to various types of social issues, both simulated and real world;
  • create significant projects that addresses social problems through research and development;
  • apply relationship management methods using best leadership practices gained from exposure to leadership theories and style desired by successful organizations;
  • recognize risks, problems associated with innovation profession and entrepreneurship to make rational decisions for gaining competitive advantage;
  • to select and use appropriate research methods in collecting data and writing for creative and critical decision making which results to innovation, economic sustainability and positive social impact;
  • assess an organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to determine company’s current state and develop priorities from a strategic perspective;
  • demonstrate professional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to be able to interact with stakeholders; and
  • explain the basic concepts associates with business ethics, corporate social responsibility, sustainable operation practices and the importance of developing and adhering to a strong set of generally-accepted ethical principles.

SMIT promotes international exposure to students for them to enrich their global perspective of their courses. As part of their experiential learning, the following are offered across all SMIT programs.

  • Malaysian Export Academy – Malaysia

These are all OPTIONAL since related expenses (i.e. program fees, airfare, accommodation, living expenses, etc.) are not part of the regular tuition and fees.

Educational Tours are subject to CHED regulations. Tour destinations are also subject to change.
